Tips：: Brass Bouchon, Brass Stop Plug and Blind Board

There are three types of pipe fittings used for sealing at the pipe end: Brass Bouchon, Brass Stop Plug and Blind Board.

(1) Brass Bouchon

Refers to the cap-shaped pipe fitting welded to the end of the pipe or connected with the external thread of the pipe end. Fittings welded on the pipe end or installed on the external thread of the pipe end to block the pipe and used to close the pipeline.

(2) Brass Stop Plug

Refers to external threaded pipe fittings used to block the internal thread of the pipe end. There are square Brass Stop Plug and hexagonal Brass Stop Plug.

(3) Blind Board

Blind Board has two types: welded Blind Board and flange cover (flange cover is bolted connection); welded Blind Board, also known as blind plate, flat cover head. One is to weld the outer diameter of the Blind Board equal to or slightly larger than the outer diameter of the pipe, and the outer wall of the pipe end is welded and closed; the other is to weld the Blind Board outer diameter slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the pipe, and the inner pipe end is welded and closed. Flange cover is also called blind flange. It is a flange without a hole in the middle for sealing the pipe end. There are many types of sealing surfaces, including flat, convex, concave and convex surfaces, tongue and groove surfaces, etc. The advantage is that it is easy to disassemble.

The difference between Brass Stop Plug and Brass Bouchon:

Generally speaking, the Brass Stop Plug is inside the tube and plugged inside the tube, and the Brass Bouchon is outside the tube and sleeved on the outside of the tube; the Brass Stop Plug is used to close the tees, elbows, etc., and the Brass Bouchon closes the tube head. ; Brass Stop Plug just plugs the unnecessary ports in the pipeline, and plays a sealing role, which is the same as the Blind Board, the head and the Brass Bouchon.
