What is Hot-melt connection?

Hot-melt connection refers to a connection between non-metal and non-metal, which is heated to a (liquid) melting point. It is widely used in the connection of new pipes and fittings such as PP-R pipes, PB pipes, PE-RT pipes, metal composite pipes, curved vector aluminum alloy lined plastic composite pipe systems.

Instructions

The hot-melting tool is connected to the power supply, and the hot-melting can only start after reaching the working temperature (the indicator light is on). When heating the pipe, the pipe end should be inserted into the heating jacket without rotation, and inserted into the peeling part of the aluminum alloy pipe; at the same time, the pipe fitting should be pushed over the heating head without rotation to reach the specified melting depth. After the specified heating time is reached, the pipes and fittings must be removed from the heating jacket and heating head at the same time, and quickly and non-rotatingly inserted along the axial line of the pipes and fittings to the marked depth, stable for a few minutes, so that A uniform flange is formed at the seam. The newly welded joints are allowed to be calibrated immediately, but rotation is strictly prohibited. The pipes and fittings should be supported within the specified cooling time to prevent them from twisting, bending and stretching, and there must be no local welding or uneven welding ring. In the quality inspection of on-site plumbing installation and construction, it is often found that the hot melt connection of the plastic pipe has local fusion tumors or uneven welding rings, which causes the pipe diameter to become smaller, which will affect the water supply or heating effect.
