The Description of PPR Reducing Socket

PPR reducing socket is similar to equal socket, the main difference is that the inner diameters of the two interfaces of the reducing socket are different, and its two ends can be connected to PPR pipes of different outer diameters. When it is necessary to connect two pipes of different sizes, we usually choose to use the reducing socket.

Identify the quality of PPR

1. "Look" appearance. A good PPR water pipe is soft and uniform in color, without variegation.

2. "Touch" the texture. A good PPR water pipe is 100% PPR raw material (without any additives), the texture is pure, the surface is smooth and clean, the hand feel is soft, and the pseudo PPR pipe feels smooth. Generally speaking, the rough particles are likely to be mixed with impurities;

3. "Smell" the smell. The main material of PPR pipe is polypropylene. Good pipes have no smell, and poor ones have strange smell，it is likely to be mixed with polyethylene instead of polypropylene;

4. "Pinch" hardness. PPR tube has considerable hardness, and a tube that can be deformed by pinching is definitely not a PPR tube;

5. "Amount" of wall thickness. You can use a vernier caliper to measure whether the wall thickness of the pipe is up to standard and uniform. Generally, good pipes are produced in strict accordance with the national standard.

6. "Listen" to the sound. The landing sound of the PPR pipe is dull, and the landing sound of the pseudo PPR pipe is clearer.

7. "Smash" elasticity. A good PPR pipe has good "resilience" .If it is easy to smash, naturally, it is not a good PPR pipe.

8. "Burn" smoke to smell.

PPR pipes with recycled plastic and other impurities mixed in the raw materials emit black smoke and have a pungent odor. And good materials will not emit black smoke and odor after burning, and the molten liquid is still very clean after burning.
