According to national regulations, PPR water pipes must have good light-closing performance. From this point, the gray opaque performance will be better. But this kind of advantage only exists in exposed pipe installations and pipeline wells. The water pipes for home improvement are all buried in the dark, so there is no saying that gray is better than other colors. The good PPR tube is completely opaque, and the pseudo PP-R tube is slightly transparent or semi-transparent. White products generally can only be produced with pure PP-R raw materials. If recycled materials, waste materials, and corner materials are added, the color of the product produced is not soft and uniform. Adding recycled materials, waste materials, corner materials, etc. to other color products processed with color masterbatches will not affect the color of the product. This is why many manufacturers that focus on quality and focus on home improvement retail products are mainly white. The inner and outer surfaces of high-quality products should be smooth and flat, and no defects such as bubbles, obvious depressions, grooves and impurities are allowed.
2. Touch and feel the texture.
A good PP-R pipe is made of PP-R raw materials (without any additives), with pure texture, smooth surface, soft hand feeling, The pseudo ppr pipe has smooth hand feeling. Generally speaking, rough particles are likely to be mixed with impurities.
3. Smell
The main material of PP-R pipe is polypropylene. Good pipes have no odor, and poor ones have strange odors. It is likely that they are blended with polyethylene instead of polypropylene.
4. Pinch hardness
The PP-R tube has considerable hardness. A tube that can be deformed at will, it is definitely not a PP-R tube.
