Precautions for water heater installation

Dec 22, 2021

1. The water heater cannot be installed in a location with strong air convection (such as window openings), and there is no combustible material around.

2. The water heater cannot be installed in the "box", even if it is a blind box.

3. The "reverse installation" method should be adopted during installation, that is, install the water heater in place first, and then install the cold and hot water pipes and gas pipes in reverse from the water heater.

4. The inlet and outlet pipes must be vertical, and the outlet pipe (hot water) should not be equipped with a valve, otherwise it will affect the water output and affect the use function.

5. The gas pipe must be high-quality galvanized pipe with a diameter of 20 mm to ensure sufficient gas source.

6. Soft metal braided pipes and corrugated pipes should not be used for cold and hot water pipes (if the original corrugated pipe is used, it must be installed straight and the bending angle cannot be greater than 90 degrees).

7. The water heater gas pipe joints should not be too many. The joints passing through the ceiling and the cabinet should be sealed with epoxy resin or plastic steel soil.

8. The power socket of the water heater should be more than 5 cm away from the inlet and outlet pipes, with a switch, cut off the power after use.

9. After the gas pipe is installed, pressure test and tightness test shall be carried out.

10. It is strictly forbidden to use raw tape as filler for gas pipe joints.

11. The water heater must be firm and not loose.

12. The exhaust gas exhaust hole of the water heater should be opened separately, and the public exhaust hole should not be used.

13. Pay attention to cleaning and maintenance, or regularly ask professionals to come to your door for cleaning and maintenance.
