1. If the water pipe is frozen, it can be exposed to the sun for a while after the sun comes out to see if the water pipe can be melted. The premise is that the highest temperature during the day is above 0 degrees. If the highest temperature is still below zero, there is little hope that it will thaw by itself.
2. If the sun can't melt the ice, then it should be boiled with hot water. But don't use hot water directly at the beginning, otherwise the water pipe will be damaged. You should pour it with warm water several times, then take a pot of hot water, and pour it back and forth evenly on the pipe, taking care not to burn yourself. If it freezes badly, you can pour it several times until the water pipe melts.
3. You can also use a hair dryer to blow on the frozen water pipe to heat it. When blowing, you must turn it to the high gear. You must start with the faucet. Sometimes it is just that the faucet is frozen. No need to blow pipes anymore. If the water does not flow, slowly heat the pipes along the faucet until the water pipes are melted.
4. For thicker pipes, you can use the in-pipe heating method, that is, after unloading the pipe joints, pour warm salt water into the pipes, and the water pipes will thaw quickly. However, this method is more cumbersome and should be considered carefully.
5. In order to prevent the water pipe from freezing again, you can wrap the water pipe with torn thick cotton clothes, plastic foam or plastic insulation pipe, etc., from the root of the faucet to the bottom of the pipe, and then tie it with iron wire to make it stronger. This will ensure that the water pipes will no longer be frozen.
6. If the water in the pipe is supplied for a limited time, that is, it will not flow after a certain period of time, then wait until the water has flowed and then turn off the faucet, so that too much water will not accumulate in the pipe, so the pipe will not be frozen If you are afraid of wasting water, you can put the water in the bucket or other places for backup.
7. If the indoor water pipe is frozen, don't scald it with hot water. You can place the hot stove next to the water pipe, or turn on the heater with a heater. When the indoor temperature rises, the frozen water pipe will melt.
8. If the water pipe is only partly frozen, you can use a hot warm water bag to apply it to the water pipe, and let the continuous heat of the warm water bag melt the frozen pipe. If the hot water bag is cold, change the hot water in time.
