Will ppr water pipes freeze

Aug 12, 2021

Water pipes will freeze. As long as the local temperature is low enough and there are no reliable anti-freezing measures, the water in the water pipes will freeze. Water will expand when it freezes, and ordinary metal pipes, such as galvanized pipes, are often frozen and cracked due to poor tensile properties at low temperatures, causing accidents.

The PPR water pipe is a plastic part, which has poor heat transfer ability and has a certain anti-freezing ability. Compared with iron pipes, it is not easy to freeze, and because of its own tensile strength, it is not easy to freeze and crack under icing conditions.
